Barbara Momsen, an agent with RE/MAX RB Ranch & Beach since 1998, has been selling ranch and beach real estate since 1992.  She holds the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) professional designations and has been the recipient of numerous top awards and honors, including the prestigious RE/MAX Hall of Fame Award.

Understanding Relocation

Barbara and her husband, John, have lived in San Diego since 1987 when they emigrated from their native South Africa.  They have three children, all of whom graduated from the Poway Unified School District, and six grandchildren.  Momsen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and is a former high school English and History teacher. 

Having made many “big” moves, she understands the process.  Encouraging and assisting her clients, whether it is a move up the street or to another state, her caring enthusiasm is an important asset.

Barbara has worked collaboratively with a number of developers on the design, marketing and sales of both custom and tract developments.  Consequently, she understands premium lot locations, upgrade programs and basic developer philosophy. 

Community Involvement

Barbara is involved in her community, both around the corner and around the globe.  She participates and contributes her time, talents and treasure to Children’s Hospital of San Diego, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, The Christian Children’s Fund, Children’s Miracle Network, The March of Dimes, and The Smile Train - an international not-for-profit medical services organization, which assists local doctors and medical professionals in developing countries to provide free cleft lip and cleft palate surgery to children in need.
